Mother's Ministry
Our Purpose
The Mother’s Ministry is designed to be a support network for Mothers that are expecting a baby and Mothers of babies, toddlers, preschoolers and elementary age children.
The Mother’s Ministry “Lifesaver” fellowship is designed to give support to mothers of newborns and their family within the first 4 weeks of the baby’s arrival.
Monthly Moms’ Night Out
Second Monday of each month
at Starbuck’s Coffee in Hopkinsville from 7:00 p.m. - ?? unless published otherwise!
This group is open to any mother within the Church that is expecting a baby or is the mother of a baby, toddler, preschooler or elementary age child. Whether this pregnancy or baby is your first or fourth, we welcome you to the group. We also invite ladies that are interested in joining First United Methodist Church or any mother that needs our Mother’s Group to please attend this monthly meeting.
At the meetings, we enjoy each other’s company in a relaxed atmosphere, share tips and advice, stories about our children and gain strength from each other’s parenting experiences.
THE LIFESAVER PROGRAM
First United Methodist Church Mother’s Ministry seeks to provide support to our new mothers and their families when a new baby arrives.
Every FUMC mother who is expecting a baby is assigned a LIFESAVER, a woman within the Church who will assist during those first four weeks after a baby’s arrival. The LIFESAVER will deliver a hot home-cooked meal to the new family, as well as provide support in any other way she can those first four weeks, such as light shopping, light housework or just offering advice.
If you are expecting a baby, please contact Katie Peebles so she may assign a LIFESAVER to assist you and your family.
